Time Flies

Have you ever just sat down one day and realized "holy crap, time flies?" Christmas is right around the corner, there were so many things I wanted to do with my kids but haven't. Dre is starting to babble words here and there and it makes me want to cry, where did my little baby go? The girls act so old and are getting interested in things that I thought had years to come. Every night I lay in bed and think of the things that I should have done with my kids that day, or what I shouldn't have done. It is so hard to balance out being a mother and keeping up on things. I guess I am just having one of those days when you feel totally inadequate as a mother and a wife. Enough of the boobing!!!!!!

Anyway, my camera has died (which really irks me), so I haven't posted any pictures in a while.

Jerky-Turkey

We were getting ready to leave to go to Cade's moms for Thanksgiving Dinner. I had told the girls that we were going to go to Grandma's house to have a turkey dinner. I told the kids to get on their shoes and were just ready to head out the door when little Ashlee came running with a bag of Jerky and said "mom I got the turkey".

Gotta Love them!! Hope everyone had a Good Thanksgiving! The count down has begun!!!!!

I don't know why I haven't posted these pictures. I am slow, and well life has been a little crazy! Don't laugh too hard!!

Happy Birthday Super-Kids!

Isabel and Ethan are my second set of kids. Ashlee and Isabel are 6 weeks apart and are the best of friends. Dre and Ethan are 7 weeks apart and like to torment each other. They are (will) be celebrating there first and third birthdays. We Love You! Happy Birthday!!!!

10 Things

Well I read on Jessica's site 10 things that she is thankful for. This time of year really makes me think and realize just how much I am thankful for, from the big obvious things down to a microwave to heat up left overs. I have made it a personal goal to not only realize all that I have to be thankful for, but to enjoy those things as much as I can!! So anyway here it goes:

1. My Hunka Burnin' Love. Cade probably doesn't realize how important he is to me. I need to tell him more and show him more. Hee Hee. With out him I couldn't make it through each day.
He is such a good man and he is the best father. The kids love him so much and so do I.

2. Cadee. What can I say about this kid. She makes me laugh daily. She is such a goof ball. She is such a little helper, she loves to help me with anything I ask and lots of things I don't ask her to do. I just love that girl.

3. Ashlee. All you have to do is look at this girl and she lifts your spirits. She is such a little angel (one who's halo is being held up by horns). I love her so much!

4. Dre. This kid, boy I don't know where to start with this kid. He is such a mama's boy. He wants me all the time. I try to enjoy it because before you know it all he will care about it girls and won't want anything to do with his mommy. I love his "mater" smile, it makes me smile daily.

5. The Savior. What can I say, where would I be with out the savior, the atonement and his teachings. I need to do better in my life and be more like him.

6. My Grandparents. I have the absolute best grandparents in the world. My Grandma Gardner is one of my best friends in the whole world. I can't imagine my life with out her. My grandparents have always been there for me and been the best examples for me. I love them so much! I need to tell them more!!!!!!

7. My parents. My parents do so much for us. They would give me the shirt off their back literally. They have taught me to be a hard worker and appreciate the little things. My mom is my best friend, my dad is my hero. What can I say I am a daddy's girl. My kids absolutely love Grandpa and Grandma, they would spend every day there if I would let them.

8. Cade's Parents. Ol' Bishop McKenna, what can I say, he is such an example to us. He is such a good man and would help anyone in need. The girls love Bompa and he loves them. Cades mom teaches me so much. I wish I could do half the things she can do, she can make anything and fix anything. She is so good to my kids and we are so thankful for them in our lives!

9. Our Home. In this crazy world right now, I am just thankful to have a roof over my head. I have come to realize it isn't how big or fancy your home is, what matters is what is inside (a Happy Family)!!!

10. Our Brothers and Sisters. We have a crazy but awesome family. My brothers are awesome although I don't tell them enough, I love them and there kids. My sisters I never had growing up, I love them all!

11. Can I add an 11???? Friends. I love my friends. You know who you are. Thanks for always being there for me!!

ONE: I use to be a clean freak. Everything had its place, and if it was out of its place I noticed right away. Cade use to think it was so funny to re-arrange things on a shelf and see how long it would take to notice. I would always notice immediately. Now suddenly I don't like to clean. I like my house to be clean and I hate it durty, but I just don't like cleaning anymore. What is wrong with me??? Maybe because it never stays clean. I clean and within 10 minutes the floor is dirty and toys are every where.



TWO: My closet is the Bermuda Triangle. I have no storage in my house what so ever (in the process of building a garage and storage room). My closet seems to have everything in it, decorations, Christmas Presents, Books, a heater, a filing cabinet, a sewing machine, you name it, you need it, look in my closet!!!!



THREE: Shhh, don't tell, I have an addiction. It is.......QVC!!!! I don't know why but I get sucked in so easily. I have bought anything from cleaning stuff to a Christmas Tree!!! The UPS man chats with me daily. He probably thinks "man this lady is a whacko"!!!!



FOUR: My favorite thing to do is spend time with my children. I like to spend time with each of them individually. Our "one on one" time I call it. This can be anything from taking one of them grocery shopping while the others stay at home with dad, or take a ride to the mountains with one of them. It's funny how much your kids open up when they are alone with you. This time alone with them is also refered to as the "chatter box time". They talk and talk and talk. I love this time with them. I learn alot about my kids this way.



FIVE: I buy christmas presents months in advance. I have been pretty much done with my Christmas shopping for a few months. I have a few things to get, stocking stuffers, etc. I love to have it done because I don't like to buy it all at once, holy cow it is expensive! Maybe I need to buy for less people or something I don't know. I also like to have it all done before December so I can have the whole month to just enjoy the season!



SIX: Contrary to what people think, I am not shy. Everyone thinks I am quiet and reserved. Wait until you really get to know me, then you will see what a goof ball I am. I love to make people laugh, I love to laugh at people and I love to laugh at myself. Don't get me wrong, I am not an out going person and I don't like to be the center of attention. I am just a weirdo when you get to know me!!!

Happy Birthday Ashlee!!

My sweet little Ahlee is 3! She is seriously the sweetest thing ever. She is so sensitive and is so aware of others feelings. She is literally my little angel. We had a party for her last night for Cades side of the family, and tonight we are having another party for my side of the family. She has been so excited for the big day! I took her to Walmart and told her she could pick out anything she wanted for the party. Of course she picked out Tinker Bell Decorations (she is also being Tink for Halloween).

She has been such a blessing in my life since the day she was born. She was the easiest by far as a baby and still is! She hardly ever gives me any problems. She loves her sister and her brother so much. She takes care of her brother like she is so big, even though she is still a little one herself. I forget that sometimes! Ashlee is such a daddy's girl. If she gets hurt when he is at work she cries for him and she runs to him every time he comes home (he eats it up). She is impossible to get mad at, she whips out this puppy dog look with those big brown eyes that just makes me melt.

Happy Birthday Ash, we all love you so much!!

We Love Halloween!

I usually do a graveyard scene in our yard, but the puppy put a damper on that.

Oh well, the kids had so much fun doing it in the house!

A little of this and that.....

I haven't put anything new on for a while, so here are a few things that heve been going on in our neck of the woods....

Cade added Dre's initials to "our" tree in Whiterocks Canyon. We love to go camping there or just for a ride or picnic.


We went to the Bluebell Corn Maze with Kloee & Tiff. The girls didn't
want to leave. We were there for 3 hours! They have a wagon ride that
takes you to a pumpkin patch where you pick your own pumpkin.


Cade gave Dre another haircut. Poor kid!!!!!!! I told Cade that he
had a long spot up front. He attempted to fix it, but didn't realize
that he had taken off the attachment. I guess it will grow back!!!

Both girls have been doing Tumbling this year. They both love it. This is Ashlee attempting the trampoline. She is getting better each week!

Kiddie Kandids

Dinosaur Museum

We took the kids to the dinoausr museum last weekend, they loved it! We only got yelled at once for our kids touching the exhibits. Cade and I just pretended they weren't our kids, hee hee.

Preschool

Cadee went to her introduction day for Preschool. It was only an hour long and the parents went too. On the way she told me "mom, I know how to do school by myself, you just stand by the wall and watch." I was proud of her, she did pretty good! I think they had this day for the parents not the students, because I couldn't have just dropped her off!

Ashlee is going to miss her sister, can you tell?

My Baby Is 1!

I can't believe Dre is one. The last year has flown bye! It makes me so sad that my baby is growing so fast!

Ok so I may went a little overboard for his first birthday party. We had a "dinosaur" party. I borrowed UBET's dinosaurs from their float. Dre was scared of them, but it was so cute. We had a dinosaur cake and he had his own little cake to dig into. There was a total of 44 people there (including us) YIKES! It was alot of fun though!

I thought I would share a few things about my little man in honor of his big day: Dre is a mama's boy. If mom is around he won't go to anyone else. Dre has 4 teeth, and 2 about through. He is 21 lbs and 30 inches. Dre loves to play with his sisters. He follows them around all day! He is such a tease, he loves to giggle, and loves to make his sisters laugh. He isn't walking yet, but that is ok, I don't want him to because then it seems like they grow up so fast. Dre had a slow start at crawling. Right after learning to crawl he fractured his humerous (bone in the shoulder). This slowed him down for a while. He favored it for 2 weeks. The poor guy had a rough summer between that and the stitches in his ankle.

McKenna Version of "Wild Hogs"

Cade and his brother Craig went on a 4 day road trip on their bikes. They put on a thousand miles! They went through Bryce Canyon and Zions National Park. After spending the night in Mesquite they headed back. We missed him alot but he had so much fun, so I'm glad he did it!

This post is for my older brother Trent. Dre is wearing his old outfit, clear down to the orange cowboy boots. Yee Haw! Can you picture Trent in tight wranglers and orange cowboy boots? Hee Hee, it makes me laugh!

Little Terror

If someone were to come to my house right now and open my kitchen cuboards, I would die of embarassment. Dre pulls everything out of my drawers, my pan cuboard and my tupperware cuboard. I get so tired of putting them back, that I shove them in and just hope the door shuts! This is where I found the little turd the other day. He thinks he is so funny. It's hard to get mad at him with a smile like that!

Dre & His Pal

I had to put this picture on because these two are so cute together. They usually play pretty good, but they also like to bite and pull hair (usually Dre). Ethan and Dre are just about 2 months apart. They are complete opposites, Dre is tall and skinny while Ethan is a short butter ball. Plus Ethan makes Dre look like he has never seen the sun!

Puppy Love

Somehow we are the owners of a new puppy. He is a Golden Retriever. His name is Duke. He is actually a pain in the butt because the girls don't even like to go outside now. I guess over time he will get better. If not, anyone want a dog?

Scavengar Hunt

We sent the kids on a scavengar hunt while we were camping. They loved it! They had to find things like pinecones, a bug, a leaf, etc. Kaicen came up and spent a night with my mom and dad.

Dance Recital

The girls were in Star's over the summer. This is their dance recital at the Neola Elementary. They were in the same class as some of my cousins kids (Isabel & Gracie). They had so much fun!

Dentist Trip

The girls went to the dentist in July for a check-up. We went with the Fitzgeralds because Kloee had an apointment too. We crammed in, but we made it! Here is Cadee, Ashlee & Kloee shoved in the very back seat.

Dre's First Haircut!

Cade decided Dre needed a haircut. I really didn't want him to do it, but he looked alot better when it was done! He looks like a little man now! Notice the pile of hair on the counter!!!!

Rock Creek Canyon

We hiked to Rock Creek Dam to take the kids fishing. We didn't catch anything, but it was alot of fun!

Boating with the Bird Family

This is a boating trip we took with JR & Brindie Bird to Starvation Reservoir. Yep, that's Ashlee and I out there!

Summer Fun

We have been doing so much this summer. We have literally been gone every weekend. This weekend will be the first weekend we don't have plans. I am excited to just stay home, maybe I can get something done! Here are some pictures of what we have been doing all summer.

Cade will kill me for putting this picture on. We bought a small old boat, but it does the job. I hate the water, but I am getting a little better. We have had alot of fun pulling the girls on the tube!

By the way this isn't our boat were on. This is the Bird's boat. Our boat is much much much much smaller and much much much older.
